Science Simulations

I found this great website with science simulations. I was looking for interactive sites for resources and found this one. I typed simple machines in the search box and it gave me a list of simulations just for that topic. This is a really neat way for kids to see just how these types of things really work. Any time that you can watch something, I think you retain it. I always have to see how something works before I just take someone's word. This would be a cool site for students to collaborate on and give a hypothesis before putting the simulation to work.

Space Vocabulary

I have found a cool website with a planet review. I wish that I had found this site when I was teaching the solar system. I am going to bookmark it for future reference. I think that it would be great for a review just before CRCT and any other time. We like to keep these minds working and hopefully they will remember everything that they have learned. Review lessons are great time fillers and easy to do. Check this site out!

Teachers Guide

I thought that this website was great for those who are looking for websites that are interactive. I know that I am always looking for new resources. This site has websites that are kid friendly, which is important to teachers. We do not need them searching for sites, who know where they would end up. Not a good thing, letting them search on their own without supervision until they are older, and then sometimes is questionable.

Science Online

I thought that this was a really neat website! I wanted to post it for everyone to look at. The reason that I found it was looking for resources for forces and motion. I wanted to find an interactive site with this. Force and motion is one of those units that I find hard to teach. I can't seem to find a way to keep the students' attention. If anyone has any offerings of help, PLEASE let me know!
