Our next project in 4th grade is Simple Machines. I have been trying to find a website that was interactive for the kids to PLAY while they LEARN. This website does just that . Just click on the title, Simple Machines. When you get to the website you have to click on the start tab. Then the children are transformed to another place where they can choose to look in the house or the tool shed. Then they have to "look" around to find the simple machines and answer questions about them. Check it out!!! I think you will love it!

Water Cycle Interactive Activities
I know that I am obsessed with the water cycle right now, but I am searching for more fun things for the children in my class to really understand what is going on. This is the unit that we are studying right now. If anyone has any great weather or water ideas please let me know.

I found this site and it is really cool for explaining the water cycle and letting the kids actually see what is happening. This fits great in the fourth grade curriculum.
